Tha An Tinne a’ rannsachadh sgeulachd slabhraidh a thugadh a dh’Astràilia le teaghlach a chaidh fhuadach far na talmhainn aca anns an 19mh linn, agus leabhran de dh’òrain a chaidh a chruinneachadh le Catrìona Dhùghlas anns an 1930an. Chaidh obair ùr a chruthachadh le luchd-ealain tùsanach Astràilia cuide ri bàird Ghàidhlig agus Albais.
Tha An Tinne ag innse eachdraidh aona teaghlaich a chaidh à Cille Mhoire a dh’Astràilia aig àm nam Fuadaichean, am meadhan na 19mh linn. ’S i sgeulachd fìor Ghàidhealach a tha seo, a’ toirt am bàrr dualchas beartach, sònraichte na sgìre agus comas a’ chànain agus a’ chultair thighinn beò tro linntean doirbhe. Bha fèill mhòr air a’ chiad shealladh anns an Eilean Sgitheanach an-uiridh.

An Tinne links the tale of a slabhraidh that held a cooking pot over a fire in Grealuinn in North Skye and its journey to Australia with the Macpherson family, and a book of songs collected in Trotternish by Katie Douglas in the 1930s. New work has been created by Aboriginal and Australian artists alongside Scots and Gaelic poets in a powerful and beautiful rendition of story and song which left audiences moved and inspired standing ovations when premiered in Skye last year.
