Rugadh Criosaidh Nic a' Phiocair (Chuimeanach) ann an Ceann Tùlabhaig anns an t-Òb ann an 1954.
Chaidh i gu Bun-sgoil an t-Òib agus an uairsin do Sgoil Sir E. Scott air an Tairbeart. Chuir i an uair sin seachad bliadhna ag obair ann an Taigh-òsta na Hearadh mus do ghluais i a dh'Inbhir Nis far a robh i fuireach iomadh bliadhna mus do thill i dha Na Hearadh beagan bhliadhnaichean air ais.

Bha Criosaidh a' seinn bho bha i na nighinn bhig, aig na mòdan ionadail ann an Steòrnabhagh agus na consairtean ainmeil a bhiodh ann an Sgoil an t-Òib aig àm na Nollaig.

Fhuair i a guth seinn bho dà thaobh an teaghlaich, agus ged nach eil a' seinn air àrd-ùrlar ach i fhèin, tha guth math aig a piuthar Lisa ‘s tha a bràthairean Coinneach agus Aonghas aithnichte airson a bhith a’ cur a-mach na loidhne mar a bha an athair roimhe.

Choisinn Criosaidh am Bonn Òr airson seinn san t-Seann Nòs aig a' Mhòd Nàiseanta anns an Òban, ann an 1978. Bha i cuideachd na ball de Chòisir Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis airson fichead bliadhna agus bidh i fhathast a' seinn aig cèilidhean is cuirmean bho àm gu àm.

Còmhla ri Criosaidh airson a ceann-bliadhna sònraichte seo a chomharrachadh bidh a nighean, Jenna Chuimeanach, Iain ‘Costello’ MacÌomhair, Amy NicAoidh agus aoigh no dhà eile.

Chrissie MacVicar (Cumming) was born in Kintulavaig, Leverburgh in 1954.

She went to Leverburgh Primary School and then to Sir E. Scott School, Tarbert. She then spent a year working in the Harris Hotel before moving to Inverness where she lived for many years before returning to Harris in recent years.

Chrissie has been singing since she was a little girl, at the local mods in Stornoway and the fantastic concerts once held at Leverburgh school at Christmas time.

She got her singing voice from both sides of the family, and although only she performs on stage, her sister Lisa is a fine singer and her brothers Kenny and Angus are know for ‘precenting the line’ as their did father before them.

Chrissie won the Traditional Gold Medal at the National Mod in Oban in 1978. She was also a member of the Inverness Gaelic Choir for over twenty years and continues to sing at ceilidhs and concerts.

Chrissie will be joined by her daughter, Jenna Cumming, Iain 'Costello' MacIver, Amy McKay and a couple of other guests to celebrate her special birthday.
