Bidh Donnchadh agus Ròna, bràthair is piuthar à Drochaid a’ Bhanna, a’ toirt pailteas de phuirt is òrain seachad ann an Diùirnis. Tha an ceòl ’s na h-òrain aca freumhaichte ann an ceòl traidiseanta is Gàidhlig, le òrain air an rèiteachadh gu brèagha còmhla ri fuinn bheòthail air an fhìdhill agus air a’ phiàna. Choisinn Donnchadh Bonn Òr an t-Seann Nòs anns a’ Ghearasdan an-uiridh, ’s tha e air a bhith trang a’ seinn thall ’s a-bhos air a’ bhliadhna a dh’fhalbh. Tha Ròna ag obair mar luthier aig Taran Guitars, agus i air a bhith trang a’ togail mandolins, am measg eile.

Brother and Sister, Duncan and Rona Macleod of Bonar Bridge, will bring a wealth of traditional music and song to Durness as part of this special evening. Their music and songs are rooted in traditional and Gaelic music, with beautifully arranged songs alongside lively fiddle and piano tunes.

Duncan won the Gold Medal for Traditional Singing at the Mod in Fort William last year, and he has been busy performing over the past year. Rona works as a luthier at Taran Guitars and has been keeping busy making mandolins, among other instruments.
