Tha FRAS air an slighe a dhèanamh tro thaobh siar na h-Alba agus nas fhaide air falbh le fuaim na pìoba aig cridhe an cuid ciùil. Ceathrar bho na Garbh Chrìochan le bogsa, duiseal, pìoba agus giotàr, bidh FRAS a’ cur measgachadh de sheann phuirt agus fuinn ùra còmhla gus an dreach fhèin a chur air cheòl Gàidhealach. Bha a’ chiad chlàr aca, 'Dìle', na chomharra air na bha ri thighinn. Tha 'Flinne', am fear as ùire aca, a’ taisbeanadh pìosan-sgrìobhaidh gu tur ùr.
Bidh Donnchadh agus Ròna, bràthair is piuthair à Drochaid a’ Bhanna, a' cumail taic ri FRAS. Tha an ceòl 's na h-òrain aca freumhaichte ann an ceòl traidiseanta is Gàidhlig, le òrain air an rèiteachadh gu brèagha còmhla ri fuinn beòthail air an fhidhill agus air a’ phiàna.
FRAS have stormed their way through the West coast of Scotland and beyond with their iconic pipe heavy sound. A thundering four piece from na Garbh Chrìochan of box, flute, pipes and guitar. FRAS blend old melodies and original tunes to create a crashing wave of highland music. Tearing up dancefloors in their wake and leaving audiences captivated. Their debut album, Dìle, was a forecast of what was to come. Flinne, their latest, showcases entirely original compositions, offering shelter from the elements whilst embracing their signature storming West Highland sound.More than just a shower, a heavy downpour: FRAS
Duncan and Rona are a sibling duo from Bonar Bridge, Sutherland. Their unique sound draws from traditional, Gaelic and folk influences, with beautifully arranged songs and harmonies alongside lively tunes on fiddle and piano.
