Tha Deiseil Airson Dannsa na thuras bogaidh fìor-inntinneach tro na linntean, air innse tro fhidheall, casan, òrain Ghàidhlig agus seanchas. Tha an taisbeanadh cumhachdach a' rannsachadh mar a chaidh dannsa-ceum a dhìochuimhneachadh ann an Alba agus a chumail beò ann an Ceap Breatainn, agus a’ chàirdeas fad-beatha a chaidh fhighe a-steach don ath-bheòthachadh aige an seo.
Obair ùr-ghnàthach bho Gerry Mulgrew, stiùiriche a choisinn duaisean, agus bho luchd-stèidheachaidh Deiseil Airson Dannsa, an dannsair Alison Carlyle agus an neach-ciùil Amy Geddes.
Bithibh deiseil airson meòrachadh iongantach air cultar, dearbh-aithne agus ceangalan.
“An taisbeanadh as aoibhneile… ag innse sgeulachd chudromach leis an suathadh as aotroma, agus gun ceum a chur ceàrr.” 5 rionnagan, The Scotsman
“Chòrd e rium gu mòr! Ceòl, dannsa agus clàraidhean-gutha mìorbhaileach – dh’obraich iad air leth math còmhla – dh’innis iad an sgeulachd gu h-èifeachdach tro na meadhanan eadar-dhealaichte. Mholainn e gu mòr.” Ball den luchd-èisteachd
Deiseil: Dancing in Time is an immersive, compelling journey across centuries of tradition, told through fiddle, feet, Gaelic song and storytelling. The show powerfully explores how stepdance was forgotten in Scotland and kept alive in Cape Breton, and the lifelong friendship woven into its revival here.
Groundbreaking new work from award-winning director Gerry Mulgrew, and Deiseil Airson Dannsa founders, dancer Alison Carlyle and musician Amy Geddes.
Deiseil means “ready” in Scottish Gaelic: be ready for a mesmerising reflection on issues of culture, identity and connection.
“The most joyful show… tells an important story with the lightest of touches and doesn’t put a foot wrong.” 5 stars, The Scotsman
"Loved it! Wonderful music and dance and vocal recordings - really worked well together - really told the story well through the different mediums coming well together. Would highly recommend." Audience member
