Fuaran

Chaidh pròiseact Fuaran a stèidheachadh le Fèisean nan Gàidheal gus ginealach ùr de sheinneadairean Gàidhlig a bhrosnachadh gus òrain às na coimhearsnachdan aca fhèin a rannsachadh ’s a chruinneachadh. An dèidh toiseach tòiseachaidh soirbheachail dha Fuaran ann an 2017, tha seachdnar eile an sàs anns an dàrna phàirt den phròiseact. Cluinnear na h-òrain a tha iad air cruinneachadh ann an 2019 aig cuirm sònraichte ann an Taigh a' Bhaile, Inbhir Nis.

Nochdaidh dithis de phrìomh sheinneadaran Gàidhlig is luchd-glèidhidh thraidiseanan, Maighread Stiùbhart agus Rona Lighfoot, còmhla riutha. Tha sàr-eòlas aig Maighread agus Rona agus tha fèill mhòr orra aig cèilidhean, cuirmean-ciùil agus sgoiltean-ciùil air feadh an t-saoghail.

The Fuaran project was established by Fèisean nan Gàidheal to encourage the next generation of Gaelic singers to research and collect songs from within their local communities. Following a very successful start to the project in 2017, a further 7 participants have been involved in the second stage of Fuaran and they will showcase the songs they have collected during 2019 in this celebration of Gaelic song at the iconic Inverness Town House.

They will be joined by two of the finest Gaelic singers and tradition bearers we have; Margaret Stewart and Rona Lightfoot. Both Margaret and Rona have performed extensively and are in much demand for ceilidhs, concerts and tuition right across the globe.
